O Kolegium Doktorskim Stosunków Międzynarodowych
Celem działania szkół doktorskich jest kształcenie doktorantów i przygotowanie ich do uzyskania stopnia doktora. Zasady ich funkcjonowania zostały uregulowane w ustawie z 20 lipca 2018 r. Prawo o szkolnictwie wyższym i nauce (Dz. U. z 2023 r. poz. 742). W ramach szkół doktorskich działają kolegia doktorskie, kształcące doktorantów w poszczególnych dyscyplinach naukowych.
Kolegium Doktorskie Stosunków Międzynarodowych zostało powołane do życia na Wydziale Nauk Społecznych Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego w grudniu 2023 r. i prowadzi kształcenie w dyscyplinie naukowej stosunki międzynarodowe. Dyscyplina ta została utworzona na mocy decyzji Ministra Edukacji i Nauki z 27 października 2022 r. Jej obszar badawczy obejmuje następujące subdyscypliny:
- historia myśli międzynarodowej
- studia polityki zagranicznej i dyplomacji
- międzynarodowa ekonomia polityczna
- międzynarodowe studia bezpieczeństwa
- instytucje międzynarodowe
- studia regionalne i globalne
- socjologia i antropologia stosunków międzynarodowych
Kształcenie w szkole doktorskiej jest doskonałą okazją, by rozwijać i realizować swoje pasje naukowe poprzez prowadzenie własnych badań, służy także poszerzaniu wiedzy i zdobywaniu umiejętności przydatnych do funkcjonowania w środowisku akademickim w kraju i za granicą.

About the Doctoral College of International Relations
The aim of doctoral schools is to educate doctoral students and prepare them to obtain a doctoral degree. The principles of their operation are regulated in the Act of July 20, 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742). Doctoral colleges operate within the framework of doctoral schools, educating doctoral students in particular scientific disciplines.
The Doctoral College of International Relations was established at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Wrocław in December 2023 and provides education in the scientific discipline of international relations. This discipline was established by the decision of the Minister of Education and Science of October 27, 2022. Its research area includes the following subdisciplines:
- history of international thought
- foreign policy and diplomacy
- international political economy
- international security
- international institutions
- regional and global studies
- sociology and anthropology of international relations
Doctoral studies are an excellent opportunity to develop and pursue your scientific passions by conducting your own research. They also serve to expand knowledge and acquire skills useful for functioning in the academic environment in Poland and abroad.
The Doctoral College of International Relations is an excellent choice for people who are interested in events, phenomena and processes taking place in the international arena. Education includes:
- independent work under the supervision of a research supervisor in order to prepare a doctoral dissertation
- participation in teaching activities provided for in the study program
- gaining experience as an academic teacher
After defending the doctoral dissertation, a doctoral student obtains a doctoral degree in international relations. Studies are conducted in Polish or English.
